Pumpkin Spice Donuts

September rolls around and it’s officially pumpkin spice season. Am I right or am I right?! But seeing as I’ve always been one to keep things super honest with you…I’m not actually a pumpkin spice person. Now don’t get me wrong, I think it’s yummy, but I feel like it doesn’t live up to the hype. But seeing as how popular it is and the fact that I had a can of pumpkin in my pantry calling my name, I decided to bake up some Pumpkin Spice donuts. PS fans…these are for you!

Spiced Pear Donuts

Donuts. Nothing quite compares to them. And they’re a lot like pizza in that even when they’re bad, they’re still pretty good. Growing up I was all for the chocolate-dipped, sprinkled, cream, or jelly-filled ones. You know the type, flashy and frilly. I had the realization not too long ago that I’ve officially become an old person when I passed those extravagant glitzy donuts and went straight for the old fashioned sour cream glazed. And the truth is, I’ll gladly wave my granny flag 😉 if that means I get first dibs, especially for these baked Spiced Pear Donuts!
